My name is Angela Gonzales. I absolutely love what I do and feel so blessed that I get to wake up excited to go to work every day. When I’m not teaching, I’m running and operating my non-profit organization called Chance to Dance. I started Chance to Dance when I was 19 years old. Chance to Dance is a 501c3 certified non-profit organization that provides low-cost dance classes to children of low-income families. Currently, I service over 70 families. We are moving into our fourth year of operation. It’s been an amazing first year as an educator and I am so excited to see what this upcoming year has in store.
Teaching and learning with technology is something that has completely transformed my classroom and given me the opportunity to provide students with chances they may have otherwise not received. It is my belief that all of my students should be provided with equitable learning opportunities as well as receive education from their current foundational skills so that all of them can feel successful in the classroom.
